After the Roseate Spoonbills left the tidal inlet and landed in the tree the spent a little while figuring out who would have what spot. The Snowy Egret decided to move on.
Once that was all settled they tucked their beaks in, pulled down their necks and appeared to sleep.
Wonderful!! Love these birds. Where did you see them?
Thanks, me too! We were back there Friday and didn’t see any. Sorry, I’m answering in backwards order.
Oops, I looked back and I am guessing South Carolina, correct?
Yes, Donnelley Wildlife Management Area.
Absolutely beautiful. What a lucky capture.
Thank you. They are gorgeous and fun to to watch.
More wonderful spoonbill shots!
Thanks, Belinda.
Pretty in Pink! I’ve never seen them in trees, awesome!
It is neat to see them out of the water. Thanks!
