The Prothonotary Warbler didn’t stick around so there may not have been anything to eat in the web woven into this branch, but he poked around for a bit.
He stopped to sing a song and show off his bright yellow head before disappearing into some low trees.
Gorgeous yellow, I have never seen one of these. The lighting on him in song is superb, he is truly beautiful.
There is nothing shy about their presentation, but they sure are speedy when they flit around.
Wow. I know that some of these are in out area now and I am really hoping that I will be able to spot one (and maybe photograph it too).
I hope you see one, too, Mike! They are just gorgeous.
These photos are wonderful. I’d love the chance to see this warbler.
Thanks, Belinda! As much as I love the big birds sometimes it is nice to just wait on these little ones flitting around. Looks like you’ll have to come south!
We’re expecting the warbler migration soon (along with most everything else).
Looking south sounds mighty nice!
