This is the biggest Alligator I have ever seen taking a walk.
Zoom in to see that the stuff hanging out of his mouth is vegetation of some kind. A juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron is standing at the Alligator’s tail.

I can hardly believe alligators have become part of my everyday world! Hard to say how old he might be, I’ve read after they get to be five or six and their growth rate slows you’d need to look at their teeth and overbite. Not happening! Ted just chimed in that he thought 40 years,
Not like counting the rings on trees eh 😊
Funny–I’ll think of that the next time I see a big one!
