Long shadows reached from behind me, like arms stretching out across the pond. This end of the pond is covered in duck weed and mosquito fern, making it look more like a grass carpet than water.

Thanks, Jane. I hadn’t been here in the late afternoon for quite some time. Some trees have come down in the area behind where I was standing and it is amazing how that has changed how the light filters through.
