Now that would worry me. I have only driven once in America. I was troubled because the road signs started to read ‘Do not pass’. I would have thought it meant you couldn’t go any further along that road (perhaps it lead to a secret facility) had other people not been gaily driving along past it. We say ‘No overtaking’.
That’s funny, although I can see it might not have been at the time. Add that lots of drivers here pay no mind to the signs anyway, and it can be a free for all.
I suspect it was accident prone. It’s at a country crossroads that is not square and a high bank obstructs the view in at least one direction. Although I felt I was in the middle of nowhere several cars passed when we stopped to take pictures of the Cross Keys House.
You might be so busy reading signs you just go right through.
