Great Egrets are trying to move in on the already nesting Great Blue Herons. This pair is not having it.
The GBH have at least one chick hatched in the nest at their feet.
One Great Blue took a stance over the chick while the other drove off the Great Egret.
The Great Egret didn’t go far, you can see him through the branches, and the parents stayed on alert.
