Roseate Spoonbill Chicks

Roseate Spoonbill Chicks

This was my first time seeing Roseate Spoonbill chicks and I must say those little spoonbill beaks are quite cute. Those few sticks between me and them were a disappointment, but to be this close to a nest was pretty amazing.

      1. I had hoped to see some that were a bit older to see how their beaks grow, but we only saw these very young ones and some that were nearly adult size. They grow fast!

    1. Saved the best for last that time! The second adult came with food just after that to the other side of the nest where I didn’t have a clear view but it sure was exciting to see.

  1. How cute are those, I was just commenting on Ted’s photos, the close ups are amazing and then to have a board walk go right through the rookery. I would be there all day 🙂
