About

I have loved taking pictures since I received a Kodak Instamatic 110 Camera for my 13th birthday. For years I got film for all gift giving occasions and saved my babysitting money to get the film developed. The moment of opening the thick envelope with the prints was always sweet, no matter the quality.

Fast forward several decades which included a few camera upgrades used mostly for family events. I am loving the instant gratification of digital photography and enjoying photographing what passes by.

In June 2016 Ted and I moved from central Connecticut to the Lowcountry of South Carolina to be closer to more birds and further from harsh winters.

My kit includes

Canon 7D Mark II
Canon 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6
Canon 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6L IS – retired
Canon 100-400 F/4.5 -5.6 L IS II
Canon Extender EF 1.4X III
Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS – Spring 2021

The photo above was taken on a balloon ride as the sun was rising in Sedona, Arizona. Please browse and enjoy the photographs. Your comments are welcome.

Update June 2021

I’ve traded in the Sony gear. I found the buttons difficult to manipulate  and generally thought I could have done better with the Canon. Also, the two systems are so different the Sony never became second nature for me to use.

I’ve got a second 7D Mark II body so I can have two lenses at the ready.

Some images on this site are tagged Sony, this is what I had:

Sony Alpha 6500
Sony 18-105mm F/4.0
Sony 55-210mm F/4.5-6.3
Sony  20mm F/2.8
