Silent Sunday: One Drop
Gaping Flower Photobombed
Just because it made me laugh.
I was taking pictures of the Ruby-throated Hummingbird but ended up focusing on the purple blossom, looking like a gaping mouth, or a hand puppet or ??
A Small Green Bug in Calla Lily Bloom
Actually two small green bugs, assuming that is two sets of antennae. I was looking for tree frogs but this just wasn’t their day to bask in a flower bloom.
Swamp Wildflowers, Pitcher Plant 2

Silent Sunday: Pink Rose
Swamp Wildflowers, Pitcher Plant
Pitcher Plants grow throughout the Okefenokee Swamp, a perfect wetland habitat to host these carnivorous wonders.
I saw a lot of them growing entangled with other wet feet loving plants.
The actual Pitchers grow along side the flowers, although some of the flowers seem to have gone by or were further distanced.
A few had popped up more in the open.
As this area is also home to Alligators and Snakes set up options to take a photo are limited.

Iris Blooms, Feeling Artsy
These blooms were huge, easily 9 or 10 inches (22 -25 CM)Â across, and just gorgeous.
The color striations and dash of yellow invite you to look some more.
There was a light sheen of dew on the petals before the sun made it to this garden patch.
