Running on Water that is.

Sometimes a bird just doesn’t do what you expect.

I thought this Great Blue Heron was going to poke around in that snag, looking for fish.

He thought otherwise.

And I was so close to him I didn’t get great perspective. He only went to the edge of the pond. Where he immediately plucked a fish out of the water–none of that wait, watch, wait some more action.
