I stopped by their nest again about an hour and half the after the images from my post Tricolored Heron Chicks Being Fed
The chicks were awake and looking around.

And one was quite curious!

The sticks you can see were about the extent of the nest, with not much to hold them in.

Thanks, Belinda! It’s so easy for the chicks to fall out, but somehow they manage.
Not quite as cute as the spoonie, egret, and GBH chicks because of their darker colors, but still adorable!
Yes, kind of like the ugly duckling story…they will be gorgeous. And of course are cute as babes. 😃
