Thank you, Pete, I was pretty happy with it and it was totally unexpected. Interestingly, we were at this heron/egret rookery for the first time. Another photographer told me he’d been going for more than five years and had never seen a Wood Stork there. Storks are a threatened species and intense efforts by various conservation groups have helped slow their decline. Maybe this is part of the success story.
