Trees from the far back were reflecting in the water.
He started to land then thought better of it, his pursuer was not far behind.
As the Great Egret kept moving away from the far bank the sky made a much nicer reflection.

You have managed to capture its majestic but easy flight, like the second to last picture. Almost so that it trips on the water.
That’s a good description, Hans…tripping on the water. I’ve wondered if they mis-judged the distance or maybe they like having a fancy dance step.
