If you’ve ever stepped on one of these Sweetgum Tree balls you can appreciate why the Ibis picks a careful path. Barefoot, they are sharp, and with shoes on they are like stepping on marbles.

(Ted’s OM 100-400mm Lens)
Geat photos, and you made me smile!
Thank, Sam, and glad to know that 😊
Ha! Really enjoyed this, great series, you can actually see him maneuvering ! – And “Ted’s OM 100–400mm Lens” is a nice touch too 🙂 Anyway, well spotted, Ted!
Thanks, glad you liked it. The Ibis are a fun bird to watch, always moving.
Oops – I saw the name Jennings and the similar website style and honestly thought I was on Ted’s site for a moment. Funny how that works. Similar photographic style and the same kind of humour in the images and the same beautiful work 🙂
All the best,
Marc
LOL, Marc. I’ll take being mistaken for Ted as a real compliment! Thank you, and thanks for stopping by.
Ellen
That is one clever bird, great pics and story, Ellen 🙂🙌🏼💛🤗
Thanks, so glad you liked it!
Very nice photos of the Ibis maneuvering around those obstacles!
Thanks, he had quite a sashay going on in his rear end!
