Only sometimes it turns out to be a dud.
Just open your beak…
…and drop it back in the water.
When you enlarge the photos, you suddenly notice how rough and sculpted their heads are – almost prehistoric. Maybe that also has something to do with their brain capacity, and that’s why they’re a bit of a “dud.” 🙂
Definitely a prehistoric look to the Wood Stork. It’s easy to imagine dinosaurs in their environment!

I had completely forgotten about the storks down there. I have plenty of shots of one drinking, bathing, etc. Thanks for reminding me.
