This Great Blue Heron was wandering around the back of my car as we returned from a walk on the dike.
I expected him to fly off, but he walked across the road, circled behind a tree and stealthily disappeared into the reeds.

He’s a youngster, probably still fairly trusting of us big 2-legged creatures.
I half expected him to peck and beat on the car bumper, it was shining in the sun. The Sandhill Cranes do that, so why not a Great Blue lol.
Maybe the GBH is a little more discerning?
