Oliver, Truck Companion
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Oliver and his owner.
Oliver was buckled into the front seat of the truck for safety; they were about to head for home after a short road trip.
I got the impression that Oliver did not care where they were headed, he was quite happy to be along for the ride.
He looks a bit like a Huskie and clearly had eyes for his owner.
All ready here, just waiting on my pal.
Oliver had a clear view out the front, until nap time, which comes with a pillow in this well equipped truck.
Beach, Dog Fun 2
I had been surprised that the two dogs, Green Collar and Orange Collar, from my post yesterday Beach, Dog Fun, didn’t go into the ocean surf.
This tidal pool was another matter.
Green Collar went about his business, inspecting the water surface when his buddy noticed him!
Two quick pounces and Orange Collar was all in.
Then he stopped on a dime with just a small splash, leaving his older pal standing solidly in the shallow water.
Beach, Dog Fun
The sun rose on two dogs who were burning energy playing on the beach, especially the one with the orange collar.
The owners were walking along at a leisurely pace, while one of the dogs sprinted ahead then back.
When he rejoined his group the other dog (Green Collar, left below), mostly let the other one run circles around him. At the point of this image Orange Collar was fully levitated.
Wind Up My Nose
Ah, the wind…
The wind at the beach got the approval of this Basset Hound.
I think of these hounds as being plodders, but this fellow broke into a joyful run down the beach with all four feet off the sand. A senior citizen, he soon returned to a stately walk and was happy to rest when his people sat on a chunk of driftwood.
