Tall, thin, and awkward is just what the Wood Stork defines.
Defined as wading birds, I’ve only seen them perched in trees or flying in the few spots we’ve seen them in South Carolina.
They are surprisingly agile in a group, with a nearly synchronized stroke and landing.
