I’ve just come back from almost three weeks on the west coast of Florida with most of my wildlife time at Ding Darling NWR on Sanibel Island. The first two days were pouring rain but then the sun and the birds came out.

Gorgeous flight capture, Ellen, and to have so many included in it, awesome!
Thanks, Donna! It was something to see, I hardly knew where to look!
So glad the sun came out! We are headed there this weekend. Did you happen to go to Corkscrew Swamp also?
It’s a great place and we saw lots of activity around low tides, and some close enough for good photos. We did go to Corkscrew and it was disappointing. There were a fair number of warblers/small birds but only a few wading birds and no great photo opportunities that we experienced there 4 or 5 years ago. Have fun, I look forward to seeing your images.
Yes, we’ve been to Corkscrew many times as it is not too far away, and I’m always amazed how different it can be, depending on the time of year, and depending on the water levels.
