Seeing a Roseate Spoonbill on a walk-about near the edge of a pond I was hopeful I could get some nice images.

I was on a dike and able to walk along with him, some reeds that had few gaps served as a blind.

He dipped his beak a few times but that little pool didn’t keep his interest.

Finally, a better angle for the bird and water color, but no way was he turning towards me. A moment later he flew away.

I do think your pictures tell us a lot of its habitat.
I’m glad that comes across, Hans. Close ups are nice, but I do like to take and share environmental views, too.
