A Reddish Egret, just standing around, in the grass at the edge of a mangrove.

Reddish Egrets are known for the animated way they hunt, dashing back and forth in the water.

I’ve seen them perched on top of mangroves, but this is the first time I’d seen one hunkered down in the marsh vegetation.
