Carolina Anoles readily change from bright green to various shades of brown, supposedly going brown in moist or cool conditions. This one stood out in brown as he perched on a fading Elephant Ear leaf after a rain.
We recently have been having lots of rain with torrential downpours and thunderstorms, leading to localized flooding in many spots. I am staying indoors more than I might like, because it has been hot and humid most of the time it has not been raining.

Another day of that here today, the edges of Storm Fred, which is moving your way! We’ve had well over an inch of rain since dawn, it’s a little cooler but it doesn’t feel any better.

Thanks, Belinda, and they are so photogenic it’s hard to pass them by! They do grow, maybe 1 1/2 times the size of this one, longer and a bit broader.
