Roseate Spoonbills like shallow water for feeding and general hanging around.

Unfortunately said water is not always so attractive for photographs.

And often involves even less attractive mud.

This duo seems to be assessing the local; they did not find it lacking.

That place is amazing
It sure is, Alice, and that was a bonus day. Last time we went there were almost no birds in view.
We had Spoonbills a while back when the water here was low, but I’ve been missing them lately.
They are such fun to see, and you sure can’t beat that color! We don’t see them consistently, and it seems like less this summer than the last couple years.
Funny about that . . .I just saw one lone Roseate Spoonbill at our wetlands today!
The water might be a bit murky but it doesn’t detract from the birds or the photos!
Thanks, Belinda, so glad that you liked them!
