Beautiful shots of a gorgeous butterfly, Ellen. This early in the season, the butterfly looks to be in mint condition–the last ones that I saw in the fall were tattered and faded.
Thanks, Mike, and I think you are right about the condition. I’ve seen a few around but most have been exceptionally speedy as they go around so no images. Maybe they know the days are still a bit short and not as warm as they need to sustain themselves.
