The last shot is fantastic, where you have framed the bird with its proper environment in a dramatic light.
Thanks, Hans! We are starting to see the arrival of many migratory birds, including these Night-herons. There is not too much obstruction yet from leaves and there is still quite a bit of sunlight reaching the ground in the thick swamp.
