Such pretty birds, so lithe and graceful.
I wonder if it doesn’t have a problem with something stuck in its beak. In some pictures it looks like a thin line and in the last one like a fishing hook. Check your high resolution images.
Hi Hans, just found your comment another from you on the Green Heron in my spam folder.
I had noticed that and thought it was vegetation of some sort. I had some other shots at different angles and it is really hard to say for sure what it was. It is a sad reality that human negligence causes a lot of bird distress.
