The path around the back side of the Cypress Wetlands rookery is set into a slope so I could get close to even with this perched White Ibis.

His beak was sporting the brighter red breeding color, although dirty from feeding in the muddy pond.

The trees weren’t fully leafed out, allowing a nice dappled sunlight to filter in.
