Ravenel Bridge, From The Cooper River

The sky looked a bit ominous as we passed under the Ravenel Bridge, but the storm was on its way out. We had just passed under the bridge, this is looking towards Drum Island.

Ravenel Bridge Across the Marsh

Charleston’s Ravenel Bridge is part of the landscape seen from the back of Magnolia Cemetery. The Cooper River runs under the bridge and creates the marsh that edges the cemetery, which is just barely above the level of the river.

A storm was predicted for the morning I was there but the clouds drifted higher before anything dramatic looking happened.

Two towers make up the cable-stayed suspension support of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge that connects Charleston and Mount Pleasant, SC. This is the tower closest to Charleston, seen from Magnolia Cemetery with a sky filled with white fluffy clouds.
