These delicate purple flowers were blooming under a tree along a path to a nature trail. There is an abandoned house nearby so these could be a remnant of long ago garden.

The sun was just coming onto this patch and the blooms were in various stages of opening.

This one had spread a dusting of pollen.

This seems to be Vinca minor, which is indeed much cultivated:

Ah, I didn’t think of Vinca, thank you, Steve. I see in the Wikipedia article that it was common in southern cemeteries. This trail is on the grounds of an old farm/plantation and it isn’t out of the realm that a cemetery could be here or near by.
