I spotted this Hermit Thrush darting around some trail-side cypress knees.
As expected he flitted along ahead of me…
… a quick look back before he darted into the woods.

Hermit Thrush on Cypress Knees
We have these, along with wood thrushes and ovenbirds, in our woods but they rarely show themselves. Nice shot, Ellen!
Thanks, Steve. I was fortunate to see him out at the edge. I don’t know the ovenbird, just looked it up see they also are around here but as you say “in the woods.”
