Thanks, Jane, these have always been one of my favorites. We did have a few warm days after a colder snap and I think this tree might have gotten fooled. It wasn’t a very healthy looking specimen so it may have been its last hurrah.

They sure are. The tree itself wasn’t looking very robust, perhaps a last gasp for the tree or maybe responding to a few warmer days. Fortunately there are quite a few more in that area that showed no signs of blooming now.
