White Ibis Bath Time, 3

A comical scene unfolded while I was photographing the bathing White Ibis, when one bird strolled across my view.

I was hoping to capture the splash made by the one dunking, but ended up following this fellow.

A flock of White Ibis were bathing in the shade on the opposite side of Cypress Wetlands rookery from where the single White Ibis Was Getting A Drink.

White Ibis, In Trees

The path around the back side of the Cypress Wetlands rookery is set into a slope so I could get close to even with this perched White Ibis.

His beak was sporting the brighter red breeding color, although dirty from feeding in the muddy pond.

The trees weren’t fully leafed out, allowing a nice dappled sunlight to filter in.

White Ibis

A small flock of White Ibis were poking around in a swampy area and this one flew up onto a higher vantage point.

He looked around a bit, showing me his blue, blue eye.

He walked a few steps down the tree trunk before flying off deeper into the woods.
