A comical scene unfolded while I was photographing the bathing White Ibis, when one bird strolled across my view.
I was hoping to capture the splash made by the one dunking, but ended up following this fellow.
With so many birds it is sometimes hard to know which is the best direction to look.

This one White Ibis that was bathing stood in nearly perfect, well lit spot at the edge of the pond for photographs.

A flock of White Ibis were bathing in the shade on the opposite side of Cypress Wetlands rookery from where the single White Ibis Was Getting A Drink.Â
It was serious business, with each bird splashing and working its feathers.
The bright blue eyes that White Ibis are known for were on full display when they paused….
…along with their flexible necks.
