Gulls Took To The Air

Danger, danger, fly, fly!

Can you spot the Eagle?

This island has a lot of advantages for nesting birds, but it is not without risk. This time the Eagle appeared to leave without a meal.

About a half hour later it happened again. We were further away from the action and I didn’t capture the Eagle, but this view gives an idea of how many birds are nesting on this little island. And how unconcerned the Pelicans appeared.

    1. LOL, no, no, no. Not that it isn’t appealing for that very reason, however the quote about a boat being a hole in the water to pour money comes to mind. 🤣

This was a tour with Coastal Expeditions. You may have gone out to Bull Island with them the winter you stayed in SC, I don’t remember. We’ve done a number of tours with them and always learn lots and have a good time.

      1. We’ve always had a boat since the ’80s. I can confirm your boat quote. 🤣

No, we didn’t get a chance to take any boat tours that winter, but we’ve done a few on the Chesapeake Bay over the years for fun.
