I’ve been keeping my eye out for Tree Frogs around the swamp now that we’ve had some warmer days.

On Thursday I spotted one tucked into a palm frond soaking up the afternoon sun.

Tree Frogs seem to be hanging around everywhere this month, including reeds in the swamp.
This pair found a reed to their liking at the edge of the swamp for a nap.
Neither one showed any acknowledgement of my presence.
This is my first post created from scratch using the Block Editor. It seems tedious with a lot of extra steps compared to my usual process of adding a few images then typing a sentence or two in between.

Spotting wildlife is often about subtle contrasts and shapes. The subject’s movement sometimes helps. This Sapsucker flew onto the tree then froze in place.
Looking for the unexpected can help.
Some creatures hardly move, like the Tree Frog, and others, like this warbler, are in perpetual motion so it’s helpful to anticipate their next direction.
We had some rain last night which left a few water drops on flowers along the river bank at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.
Regrettably I did not see the Tree Frog at the time.
Although if I had I probably would have 100 images, not just four or five of a flower I have photographed before.
