Naked Lady Lily

… so titled because it has no leaves. A quick online search finds a plethora of varieties and colors. These delicate white ones are scattered all around the Magnolia Plantation property.

Giant Lily

These are the tallest Lily plants I have ever seen, at least 5 feet (1.5 M). These two plants were in a border of low annuals, drawing all of the attention with those  proportionately large blooms.

Here is a bloom from another stand of these magnificent lilies, that surprisingly had thrived in a more shaded glen.

Swamp Spider Lily

Spider Lilies, or Swamp Lilies–take your pick. I’ve heard them called both and a Google search finds an overwhelming number of variations on each name.

I do not know if these particular ones naturalized on their own around the swamp or if they were planted. The flowers are short lived, especially in the heat, and it is a delight to spot them in fresh bloom.
